Sakata Japanese restaurant specialises in the Teppanyaki style of food preparation, where the food is cooked in front of your eyes by one of the master chefs. We aim to provide a fun and warm Japanese atmosphere in which you can enjoy your meal (and the show). Situated in K-Mart Plaza Burwood , the restaurant has ample 24-hour parking space (including motorcycle parking) available with access for people with disabilities.
The restaurant has a seating capacity of 100, comprising of 3 large teppanyaki tables seating 20 people each, and 40 in the a-la-carte dining area where you can watch the teppanyaki activities. For large groups or special functions, don't hesitate to contact us to make a reservation and discuss seating arrangements or a custom menu (the standard menus can all be found on the site).
We are open for lunch on Monday to Saturday from 11:30am to 3pm, and for dinner from 5.30pm Monday to Saturday, and dinner from 5pm on Sunday.
Sakata is licensed and BYO (wine only).
